HI-ACCURACY INFEED GRINDER
12x4
Hi-Accuracy Infeed
with Feedall Vibratory Recirculation Table and FANUC Collaborative Robot
Seamless transitions of parts from a lathe or screw machine to the grinding process.
A 9 nanometer glass scale makes quarter-micron diameter compensations routine and single-digit micron roundness achievable across months of production. What exactly is 9 nanometer? Well, it is 100 times smaller then a typical grinding tolerance of +/- 1 micron. At IMTS, the 12×4 will be coupled with a FANUC collaborative robot with Schunk end effectors and a Feedall feeding table. The machine will be grinding a component from a power tool with precision.
FANUC COLLABORATIVE ROBOT
A Royal Master automation partner has coupled their FANUC collaborative robot to this system. Ideal for delicate parts like hydraulic valves that cannot be contacted after grinding. Finished parts are unloaded directly into Kaiser foam pallets.
FEEDALL FEEDING TABLE
The Feedall vibratory recirculation table provides random part picking for the collaborative robot. Available in multiple sizes to match the application and part volume.
LESS THAN1/2 MICRON
Grinding to less than 1/2 micron is routine on this system. Single digit micron results are what we see — and what we’re excited to show you at the show.
SCHUNK END OF ARM TOOLING
Schunk gripping technology is the only choice for end of arm tooling on this system. Reliable, robust, and purpose-built for precision automation.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PART
Every part we grind at the show has a story behind it. The 12×4 Hi-Accuracy Infeed is grinding a DeWalt drill motor shaft — a precise two-diameter part loaded automatically by a vision-guided FANUC collaborative robot. One part grinding, the next one already selected. Watch the full story behind the part.
THE SOLUTION FOR YOUR CHALLENGE
SUBMICRON ACCURACY. ROBOTIC AUTOMATION
THIS MACHINE IS THE FULL PACKAGE.
Less then 10 millionths roundness.
The 12×4 Hi-Accuracy routinely grinds to less then .000010” roundness and straightness.
Automation that is not awkward.
Royal Master presents automation solutions that are not awkward, overengineered or a poor fit for the job. Simple, clean and efficient solutions for every application.
Fanuc Robot Loading
A FANUC collaborative robot with and added vision component randomly picks parts from the Feedall accumulation table for a basic and efficient loading solution.
Feedall 1018 Feeding Table
As the medium option in the Feedall Flex series, the 1018 offers a larger vibratory recirculation table area, eliminating manual feeding while allowing fast product changeovers. The larger footprint opens up more versatility in part sizes being fed into vision-guided robot applications.

WHAT SETS IT APART
THE HIGHLIGHTS
FANUC Collaborative Robot + Feedall — Running Live at IMTS
The machine at the show runs FANUC collaborative robot with Schunk end effectors paired with a Feedall feeding table grinding a precision power tool component.
Single-Digit Micron Roundness
This is production performance, repeatable across shift and volume.
8" Thick Starrett Granite Base — Lapped to .0002" Flatness
Thermal stability and surface precision are engineered into the base. The machine holds what it’s set to hold.
Four Dressing Options — Two CNC Options Included
Standard template, automatic template, single-point CNC, and rotary disk CNC. Profile flexibility for any application.
9 Nanometer Glass Scale — 1/4 Micron Diameter Control
Same precision diameter axis as the standard Hi-Accuracy platform. CNC dressing adds profile capability without sacrificing diameter performance.
Best Machine for the Job
You have that tight tolerance hydraulic valve: this is the machine. When you think of the tightest of tolerance jobs: this is the machine.
Automation That Makes Sense
Automation solutions that meet the needs of the customer and their requirements.
Post Process Gauging — Closed Loop with AI Analysis
Working with multiple gauging partners including Keyence, the system measures your part and feeds diameter compensations back to the machine automatically. On-board AI analyzes the collected data and provides process improvement suggestions.
