Bar stock – from the basic tp Superalloys, holding .0002″ tolerance over 12′ length. This machine is built for it.
Bar stock grinding isn’t glamorous. It just needs to be done. The 12×8 Thrufeed handles diameters up to 1.5″, holds .0002″ over bar length, and matches the grinding wheel specification to the material, material making particularly hard to achieve finishes possible. This machine is a workhorse and gets the job done.

THIS MACHINE GETS IT DONE.
You’re grinding bar stock in volume and need consistent diameter over length.
The 12×8 holds .0002″ over the full bar length. The 8″ wide wheel means more material per pass and stable, consistent results.
Your materials are tough.
The larger width wheel gives you the surface area to match the wheel spec to the material, including superalloys that wear out smaller wheels quickly.
Outboard supports manual, semi or fully-automatic systems.
Rigid outboard supports provide a solid foundation for the bars as they are being ground.
